Bud and Donnie Pence, Frank and Jesse James childhood/best friends… Bud and Donnie were also members of Quantrills Raiders, & the James Gang at the onset of the F and J’s Civil War/Outlaw career. This tintype was also within the lost Frank and Jesse photo album. I was able to improve the quality of the image for you to view, but for some reason it will not allow me to make it interactive. Which means you cant click on it & and see an enlarged image. Perhaps you can right click on it & download it into your pc’s pictures and view in better detail that way. NOTE: the Quantrill uniforms and pants Bud is wearing. Same as Frank/Jesse/Archie in my Frank and Jesse chapter. Donnie’s pants are the same as Jesse in the Quantrill Raider pic. Bud and Donnie grew up together with Frank and Jesse, only separated by an old dirt road. Bud and Frank would both join William Quantrill at the same time. A couple of years later, Donnie and Jesse would follow their older brothers footsteps. When the Union raided the James homestead, they would also cross the road and invade Adam Pence’s homestead too attempting to locate the Raiders. The Feds would break a fiddle and gunstock over Adam’s head during their interrogation. Adam never cracked. The Feds also tied the noose and repeatedly strung up Dr. Samuel. He never gave them an inch either. This is the time when the Feds tortured young Jesse (referred to in my Frank and Jesse James chapter)… The trio below shows Frank and Dr. Reuben (looking off camera) holding the same canes, or walking stick that Bud is holding in his picture with Mary. Bud and Donnie would both go on to marry Wilson Samuels daughters. I also have a tintype (found in the lost Quantrills Raiders album) that I believe is Mary (seated front), Sarah (left) Bud and Donnie’s wives, and Finetta, the other older sister. She bares a strong resemblance to Wilson Samuels.
Donnie would be noted for his courage in combat. Once, he held off a a Union cavalry charge of 100 men with just his pistol. However as he turned to get away, the Feds shot and killed his horse. Donnie ended up getting pinned under the dead animal. Out of nowhere, through the brush (like a true bushwacker) Frank James rides in for the rescue! The kinds of sacrifices that real friends, Brothers from another mother would make.
UPDATE 12/06/18: I decided to go back to the KHS archives and revisit Donnie Pence’s collection this afternoon. I’ve known about this collection for almost 8 years and looked at it numerous times. I mention it in my Frank and Jesse James chapter. I don’t know why, but my download of Bud’s image turned out horrible (above, next to Frank and Jesse) so I never paid extra close attention to it. Anyway, today I finally got a good view it. Wouldn’t you know it, like a punch to the gut, I was hit with a critical piece of evidence I was missing, and looking for so many years ago. Dr. Reuben Samuel & Adam Pence, possibly a picture even carried by 1 of their sons, judging by how its bent to fit a billfold. There are no known images of Adam Pence that I can find. I believe this is him on the right. I came to this conclusion because of the evidence that I’ve laid out above. He bares a strong resemblance to Bud, and the cane he is holding seems too coincidental considering the image above (Reuben, Frank and Jesse) were both found together with no other pictures in the entire online store. Between the Dr/Frank/Jesse, the Bud and Mary image, and this one, what is it about the canes and derbies that held so much meaning for them?
Wilson Samuels: I’ve read he was the first “commercial” whiskey distiller in America. He was able to funnel whiskey to both the North and South during the Civil War. MEGA RICH, and mega connected… Politicians, Civil War Generals, Actors, etc. Wilson was around 50 miles from the New Albany KGC/Illuminati Castle, and I believe Confederate general John Hunt Morgan passed right through Wilson’s hometown (Samuels Depot) with an arsenal of Confederate weapons headed North. My research indicated that it was this very arsenal that would fall into the hands of the Cheyenne and lead to General George Custer’s slaughter at the battle of Little Big Horn… Wilson’s very own grandfather made whiskey for none other than George Washington and his troops during the frigid winters of the Revolutionary War! The Samuels name in Kentucky is still synonymous with whiskey today. T. William Samuels aka Bill Samuels founder of Makers Mark whiskey. I have spoken with Bill many times concerning his families connectivity. I’ve learned recently that through Bill’s persistence, he was able to provide the genealogical link between Frank and Jesse’s step father, Dr. Reuben Samuel as being direct kin to the Samuels Family. Today’s State of Indiana Governor, UPDATE: 07/16/16, Donald Trump’s Vice Presidential selection Mike Pence is kin to Bud and Donnie (so I’ve read, written by someone who is genealogically linked to be family as well.) Wilson Samuels, surrounded by Legends, and yet, the “Only Man in the Room” as my stolen cdv of him had written on it. Bill Samuels helped to positively identify that cdv as being Wilson.
Although Bill never confirmed any KGC connection, when he identified Wilson, it set me into motion investigating the Knights of the Golden Circle puzzle (as I had to figure out why I discovered the 6 cdvs mentioned in Frank & Jesse’s chapter.) Bud and Donnie would take the turn from Outlaw to Lawmen in Kentucky following their marriages, but Frank and Jesse were known to remain the Pences friends throughout their entire lives. Not too much is known in the History books about the Pence Brothers, and their significance. They lived a low key life. It is known that a Federal agent once arrived in Samuels Depot to arrest the Donnie Pence for war crimes, or outlaw crimes, but over the course of pursuit that agent was met head on by Wilson. After Wilson and the agent had a private meeting, the agent “decided” not to pursue the Donnie any further… Besides having DIRECT connection to William Quantrill, Wilson Samuels also had direct connection to another Confederate Raider: John “The Grey Ghost” Mosby. Mosby had direct connections to John Wilkes Booth, later President Ulysses Grant, and so on… I know full well, via Bill and the Kentucky Historical Society, about the Donnie and the Bud Pence Bibles, and the images (cdvs and tintypes) contained within. Its said after William Quantrill faked his death and assumed the name L.J. Crocker, he became a whiskey distributor, amongst other things… As far as Mike Pence’s political rise is concerned, for the most part, I’ve heard good things. Speak softly, and carry a big stick: Teddy Roosevelt. Mike is the epitome of this expression. A stark contrast to Donald Trump. Believe it or not, a childhood friend of mine was Pence’s chauffeur and bodyguard when he was Governor of Indiana. I’ve had many people tell me they would like to see Pence as President, but make no mistake, I would definitely like to have some conversation with him…

The Earth (as strong as she seems) is fragile. There are a million issues that are upsetting her stasis. Its not the rock itself that sustains life, its the oxygen we breathe. The H2O we drink. A growing absence of development found within the evolutionary arms race. Species being killed off, voids created within the predator-prey food pyramid. Mutations. Pollution. Polar shifts/Arctic vortex’s. Human population growth. Scientific certainties… Its the exact same science and math that is applied to all of the building and development of all of your real estates projects Mr. President!
